Meetings

The barns are a perfect destination for large parties as Cruck'd Barn and Bats Belfry have very spacious open plan areas that can be used for meetings and everyone can dine and socialise in. This is ideal accommodation for groups to meet comfortably and get together for business meetings or corporate events/parties. You can either take over the entire property on an "Exclusive Use" basis or dependent on numbers select the appropriate accommodation for your needs.

For a nominal charge we offer equipment to support your meeting with Flip chart, paper, pens and easel and a projector screen available. Projectors can also be hired.

Team Building

At Hurdlow Grange, we can organise team building events with a number of different activities on site, inside the buildings or in the grounds. For events/activities that require more space we use the surrounding area or nearby specialist centres. You can choose something active such as orienteering, canoeing, abseiling or quad biking - the list goes on. We have excellent contacts with local reputable companies who can provide bespoke social development programmes, corporate team building days or simply enjoying some leisure time with an activity day in The Peak District. For evenings popular events hosted in Cruck'd Barn or Bats Belfry have been "Confidence in Cocktails", Poker Nights, and Quiz Nights.

Accommodation

The accommodation has recently been refurbished to an exceptional standard mixing contemporary style with original buildings and features. Fabric and furnishings have been carefully coordinated throughout. Located around a central courtyard and numerous patio areas there are 5 acres of gardens and grounds, with some excellent walking in nearby Dovedale and the Manifold Valleys. The properties can be let individually, as a whole or in any combination for different sized groups. There are 5 separate cottages that sleep between 6 and 14 people. All rooms are light, modern and clean.

Catering

At Hurdlow Grange it is possible for large groups of people to dine together enjoying the freedom of the self catering option. The same group of us who own and run Hurdlow also own the pub The Royal Oak down the country lane that leads to Hurdlow Grange. Situated within walking distance (if you're feeling energetic) the pub offers great beers and fantastic food in a friendly setting with a large dining room to seat groups. We can also cater for your food requirements by offering home cooked food delivered to your door or organise a caterer to come to Hurdlow Grange. Being independently run we will try and cater for any requirement.

We thoroughly enjoyed our corporate team meeting at Hurdlow Grange - the location, the freedom it provided as well as the great views. Everybody was very chilled and stress free and that was down to your accommodation. It was great!

We loved the simple lay out, all rooms were very clean with everything you would need for your stay. Our visit to the pub was welcoming and very friendly, we had a great meal, good company and very welcoming.

Just a line to say how much we all enjoyed our recent visit to Hurdlow Grange. The whole team were thrilled by the buildings, common rooms and in particular the bedrooms. Hurdlow Grange really is an exciting place to stay and worked perfectly for our team building day. The country setting is lovely and although the 5 mile walk was quite challenging for some of us, we all enjoyed the magnificent scenery and felt a sense of achievement at the end. The activities went down extremely well, especially your demonstration of the arts of cocktail making — perhaps a bit too "interactive" for some of us but very enjoyable! In summary, I would say that this was the most successful of all our annual team building days so far, I would recommend Hurdlow Grange to anyone and we will certainly be there again in years to come. As a training company it was quite a daunting task to source training facilities with self catering accommodation for 38 people. I couldn't believe my luck when I found Hurdlow Grange in the middle of the Peak District. The accommodation was of hotel quality (rather than the more traditional bunk-barns normally associated with the hillwalking area). We booked the whole complex and the facilities were superb - the location is ideal for outdoor training and we were able to use The Grange dining room as a private meeting room. Set in a remote location far away from any office distractions, this newly refurbished venue comes highly recommended for any Company training event.
