Hurdlow Grange is a group of luxury farmhouses and barns that can sleep any combination of people between 4 and 43. They have been converted to an exceptional standard mixing contemporary style with traditional buildings and features. All located around a central courtyard they have been designed to be equally good for small groups taking over one or two of the properties or a big party enjoying all the properties exclusively. For large groups both Cruck'd Barn and Bats Belfry have huge open plan dining/living areas that everyone can dine and socialise in. The Grange can sleep 14 people and all rooms have en-suite bathrooms.
Hurdlow Grange is over 300 years old and is located on the historic site of Hurdlow Village known to pre-date 1244. The farmhouse and the barns were originally working buildings and ooze character, with original features preserved where possible and fabric and furnishings carefully coordinated throughout. Five acres of grounds surround the property with some excellent walking from outside your front door as well as in nearby Dovedale and the Manifold Valleys. Located at the start of The Tissington Trail 10 minutes drive from both Bakewell and Buxton, 15 minutes from Ashbourne, it offers easy access to the many attractions the area has to offer in both the Dark and White Peak.
To complete your perfect Peak District holiday, less than a miles stroll down a country lane, you will find the award winning Royal Oak Pub. We take great pride in offering a very traditional style of hospitality complete with cosy pub atmosphere, great service, cask-conditioned ales, a fine selection of wines, and a menu of hearty homemade English pub food. Open and serving food all day, every day means you can sit back and enjoy the unique atmosphere at The 'Oak' anytime.
